I’ve used the 2Fiat card a bit around Asia and it worked for basic spending. I topped it up when XMR was around $700 and used it for some normal shopping. It went through, so no major issues on my side.
Fees are on the higher side, though there’s no monthly subscription. They use BTCPay Server as the payment processor, so the XMR conversion rate seemed reasonably close to market when I checked, but it’s still worth comparing before topping up.
One thing to note: it didn’t seem to like Tor or VPN connections when accessing the portal. I had better luck using a normal connection or public Wi-Fi.
I’d recommend testing with a small amount first to see if it works for your use case.
The main advantage is that it’s non-KYC and you can get the card without going through identity checks. That’s probably the only reason I’m willing to accept the higher reload fees.
It’s obviously not a perfect solution and cash is still the simplest option for privacy. But if you specifically want a reloadable card for spending XMR, this one did work for me so far.
