Bisq is a decentralized, peer-to-peer cryptocurrency trading platform distributed as open-source desktop software. It does not operate user accounts or centralized servers and does not collect identity information. Trades are conducted directly between users using multisignature escrow, with pricing, liquidity, and execution determined by peer availability rather than platform-controlled infrastructure.
Availability & access
KYC & restrictions: No KYC
Bisq is designed to operate without identity verification and does not include built-in KYC mechanisms. In practice, users who avoid regulated payment methods (such as banks or custodial fiat services) can trade without submitting identity documents. However, transaction outcomes, access, or delays may still be affected by user choices, payment methods, dispute resolution, or external compliance constraints. Verify details and start with a small amount before proceeding.
Supported assets
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Monero (XMR)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
